Public comment is sought on the 30th Street draft Charrette Report and draft Market Strategy. Boise City and the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) welcome your thoughts, suggestions and concerns. Eagle Road continues to be a main road with approximately 22,000 vehicles using the off-ramp every day.  The congestion has increased and the need for construction on this road is highly needed.  The Idaho Transportation (ITD) will begin construction in the spring and end in late 2007.  The Eagle Road Westbound Off-ramp project is being funded through Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle (GARVEE) bonds.  Some of the improvements include:1. The westbound off-ramp will be widened on the left side.2. The westbound off-ramp will be widened on the right side.3. The island at the intersection of the off-ramp and Eagle Road will be reconstructed. 4. The new off-ramp lane will be extended 1,600 feet along I-84 to the Ridenbaugh Canal. You can expect the following during construction:1. The off-ramp will remain open at all times. Motorist should, however, plan extra time when traveling in the project area, or consider an alternate route. 2. The shoulder...

The City of Boises Division of Housing & Community Development (HCD) invites the citizens of Boise to provide input on priority needs for the distribution of approximately $1,200,000 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and approximately $800,000 Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) federal funding, provided to the City of Boise from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Public Hearing and Application Workshop will be held Tuesday, March 27 in the Cedars Conference Room at the HCD Offices located at 1025 South Capitol Boulevard, Boise, Idaho. Apartment Buildings are staying, but not in their current look. Boise apartment buildings are being converted into condos.  This situation usually occurs in areas with affordable median home prices and job growth and Boise is one of those places. One of the concerns is the baby boom generation and the lack of affordable housing with nearby amenities. Idaho Statesman Article
