According to a government report Idaho was ranked as the lowest price for electricity in the nation.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration report showed that in 2006 Idaho households paid the 6.12 cents per kilowatt hour for electricity, followed by West Virginia at 6.32 cents and Washington at 6.81 cents.

The Senate passed a bill that would increase Idaho's minimum wage by $7.25 an hour over the next two years. The bill passed the full Senate on a 25-10 vote.
