They specialize in providing direct microloans (ranging from $500 to $15,000), one-on-one consulting, and business plan training classes. These and other resources give META clients the tools to prosper and contribute to the economic vitality in the communities in which they live.

First Thursday takes place on the first Thursday of each month, throughout downtown Boise. The event takes place from 5:00-9:00 pm and focuses on providing downtown visitors the chance to stroll through the unique shops and galleries in downtown, while enjoying in-store entertainment and special events. The DBA provides free trolley service and a special event map for the evening.

Learn how to create a backyard habitat today, May 23rd at the Foothills Learning Center. Paul and Susie Headlee, volunteer Habitat Stewards for the National Wildlife Federation, will tell you how to make your own backyard a better habitat for animals.
Location: Foothills Learning Center, 3188 Sunset Peak Road. The free programs are offered from 7-8:30 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays this summer.

Kids can make pottery, draw a flower, shoot a hockey puck, try some tennis and participate in other great activities from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the free Fun for Kids Fest at Fort Boise Community Center.
