Mortgage Rates Fall For Second Consecutive Week According To Freddie Mac Weekly Survey McLean, VA Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE) today released the results of its Primary Mortgage Market Survey (PMMS) in which the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 6.67 percent with an average 0.4 point for the week ending June 28, 2007, down from last week when it averaged 6.69 percent. Last year at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 6.78 percent. The 15-year FRM this week averaged 6.34 percent with an average 0.4 point, down from last week when it averaged 6.37 percent. A year ago, the 15-year FRM averaged 6.43 percent. Five-year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable-rate mortgages (ARMs) averaged 6.30 percent this week, with an average 0.5 point, down from last week when it averaged 6.31 percent. A company in Twin Falls has finalized planes to build the largest biodiesel fuel plant in the Northwest. The $125 million facility will be located in Buhl, and is expected to bring 60 new jobs to the area. A new estimate by the U.S. Census shows that the Treasure Valley is still the center of the states population growth. But the growth isnt all in Boise Caldwell and Eagle added more residents than the capital. Home owners in northern Idaho are appealing the assessed value of their houses, complaining that higher property taxes are pricing them out of their own homes. Beginning July 1, drivers younger than 17 can have only one passenger in the car with them unless the passengers are related. Source: Idaho Business Review
